Bible Text: Romans 7:1-4 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: Romans | The law of God makes it clear that we are all guilty, makes us know what our sin is, and brings the wrath of God. However, Paul says we have died to the law and are released from it. This can’t mean we are free to do whatever we like. The law demands the wrath and justice of God but because of the death of Christ there is no more to pay. It has all been done for us. The law can then no longer condemn us. We have died to the law that we might be married to another: Christ. Death cannot break this new relationship because He has been raised from the dead and has conquered it.
