Bible Text: Psalm 27:1-6 | Preacher: John Palmer | David wasn’t yet king but had the promise that he would be. It’s not so for us but we can still learn from his faith. The ground of faith is a relationship with God in Christ. He who has the Son has life. David’s goal was to build the temple; a picture of the heavenly temple. The more we desire to know the Lord and have fellowship with Him, the more we will be assured of salvation. The reward of faith is that our life is hidden with Christ, and yet He sets us on a high rock that the enemy cannot scale. It should be that every time we hear of the gospel, of the Lord as our strength, of our final salvation, that we start praising God.
