Bible Text: 1 Samuel 2:1-10 | Preacher: James Allan | Series: 1 Samuel | Samuel was given to the temple. Before returning home, Hannah worships God, acknowledging Him as the giver. She sings, her joy having come from the Lord. She is now strong. She bows to the Lord. He is different to us. He is holy. Hannah celebrates His salvation. So often it seems like the wicked prosper. God pours His favour on regular people. His people will one day reign with Him. Hannah is talking about more than just her own situation. Her prayer becomes prophecy: God’s chosen king is the Messiah.
